If I’m not mistaken, that’s actually part of korean culture. They frequently refer to each other by their kid’s name. As in if i were a parent meeting another child’s parent at the school, I would say child’s mother how nice to meet you (seong guk eomma) etc. It’s because it’s impolite to call elders by their given names unless you're close. Im not a korean so i don't know that its actually the other way around, thanks for telling me. Maybe because here where i live calling someone for their childs name over again and again is kind of insulting, you can just ask for their name its not that hard.
In my country (south asian) we call mother by their child name mostly in neighborhood eg. If my name is tomato then my mom will be called tomato's mother ...It's asian cultural thing cuz by calling the child name you can immediately know who they are talking about most of the neighborhood aunty's number in my phone are saved by their child name followed by mother

I hate how they still call her seong-guk's mother its already been 25 chapters at least ask her name. Her mother might not be knowledgeable but that's disrespecting right there, you have a name so people should call you by your name. They already make it clear through live interview that they are not using seong guksl's for money so they should stop acknowledge and call her as just seong-guk mother.
