as a bi guy who just turnt 24 i have to say that in the gay community having a high bodycount is normal atp
i‘m not at 17 but like every gay guy i know thinks it‘s normal to be at a bodycount 20 with being 24 or even under 24
i‘m like not shocked at all, we sadly live in a hook-up culture and gen z doesn‘t rlly value serious relationships. a lot of situationships and hook-ups but no commitment

Actually I think that’s kinda always been normal for the queer community, well atleast for Americans hookup culture has always been kinda big for the queers. We weren’t really able to just go around and have serious relationships and having secret relationships can be pretty stressful for a lot of people. There’s a lot of history I feel between the relationship of the queer community and sex/kink that’s kinda hidden because of purity culture and how that’s being embedded into the community. That’s why you see things like the hanky code or the literal secret language made for queer people or the secret bars and clubs, the sad link between the community and prostitution, the secret bathroom system for hookups, the magazines, etc. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with like the culture Built around saving your v-card or small body counts but there’s also nothing wrong with hookup culture nor is it a singular generational issue (I’m so sorry for the long ass infodump)
