From a novel reader about kangjun

I wish there were more mcs like kang jun because not only he has a solid character development, hes also mentally strong and stood his ground against yohan in the end who genuinely had to grovel for kang jun (many "strong/buff" ukes couldn't relate since their semes have gotten away with worse stuff). Kang Jun has a realistic and relatable character arc, and the author doesn't try to make him different looking from your average ukes (like trying to make him tall and muscular to show hes not like the others like many new novel/manhwa writers do these days), he is short, pretty and gets flustered and sometimes is a pushover especially in the beginning but his solid personality that borders on moral ambiguity/greyness and his very unreliable narration and self awareness is what sets him apart from the other holy mother twink mcs (i love them too tho). I love him fr and could talk about him for hours.

(Now on to my personal rant, so you can ignore it)

But I know my wish won't really come true since bl (manhwa) fandom's definition of a well rounded and strong uke begins and ends in him being physically "strong" and masc looking (dont ask them about personality). Like if kang jun wasn't a pretty twink, i know he would've gotten viral in eng fandom and would have edits everywhere, especially with the stuff he would do at the end lmao.

And bl fandom fans are hypocrites at how they let the semes get away with worse stuff but god forbid the uke is pretty with clear skin and has a mean disposition.
