Ye it could be like that too. It's hard to piece his intentions whether it's good or bad.
My theory is that, maybe the evil eye is protecting his incarnations from experiencing what he went through? the evil eye probably prevents each of the versions of himself being together with kaitos is bc from his experience, they're bound to be apart and only getting pain from that relationship.
I may be wrong tho
