Yeah, it's concerning how more people point at grooming than rape when it comes to men. But your explanation does give another POV of why people point it out grooming. I do think that knowledge of Mythical Creatures play a part regardless of time and mythology they are, in fact, mythical creatures.
No matter what background these creatures originated from, most likely the already set rules are in place (with tweaks). Dragons have always been know to be greedy and keeps their treasures close. Sometimes they are benevolent as well. But that's probably the minority who thi KS like that ╮(￣▽￣)╭.
