But this one is not related to that arc. There's many variations on how vampires came into existence. A couple of them are linked to Christianity in a more... mythological sense... because of their portrayal of not being able to enter churches and being afraid of crosses. In some they are "descendants" of Lilith (another myth based on it), some of Judas... and some of Cain, which I believe is the case of this one... in ch 458 when explaining this world the bamboo rat says Ludwig is a descendant of the first vampire, named Cain. So fortunately not related to that arc.
