I feel like shinpei makes it too late and she dies in his house, or he dies from old wounds and the guards surrounding the house and she lives what little life she has there or follows after him.
Either option sucks I’d cry if that happens
Yes, I think Mitsuharusama is the old man in the beginning . He fell in love with her and either married her or not. But I think she may have been stolen away by Shinpei and this goofy man who fell in love was left alone. Then I hope that her and Shinpei went on to live as full of a life as they could before they died. I may have the names wrong, I'm bad with those, but you know who I mean.
