As far as I remember (around two years), it was either way. I was really surprised when at that time I saw people here saying nasty things about more or less all the characters. There is no doubt that Asami and Akihito fit together very well to the point that Asami rescued Akihito several times and they seem so lovey dovey sometimes.(≧∀≦) There are a few times when you can see how much Akihito actually worries for Asami and it's the same the other way round.
