I'm not sure if this will help you babes, but the recent chapters show they're making progress, slow, but it's still progress. The top is not harming MC anymore, is changing for the better, treating the MC delicately, and even apologizing. He will always have a red flag waving around unfortunately (you'll understand the reason why if you keep reading), so when triggered, he can go ballistic. But it's only when the MC is involved, as he is very, very attached to him. That's all~ I don't know the raws nor the novel, so i don't know if we're gonna see toxic traits from him again, but right now he's alright.
