I don't think he was trying to harm the mc, i think it was more of a warning to him about how his fear resistance was not working (idk the exact term) and since he is an F class, him not being able to detect fear would mean he'd get harmed by the S classes.
It's like a person who can't feel pain, pushing his body without knowing limits which would someday lead to some dangerous injury to kill him.
Song doesn't really know about what skills mc has so it's like looking out but in his own weird and direct way.
After rereading this, i still find Director Song so annoying. (Spoiler rant below)
Can’t believe previous Hyunjae is smitten on this guy more than our MC. What does he see in this by the book guy. I still can’t forgive him when he nerfed our mc fear resistant. Like broo wtf r u doing, tormenting an F class than fixing the bad guy in your organisation (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
