Hard to mature like an average person when he’s in a terrible environment surrounded by people that don’t actually care about him. ML had more empathy cause he was still innocent and had MC there for him at the time. He likely spent more years without MC
Still not making it good for his side though, 10 years and he's still make a bad decision when he met yw again. But what could i say, he's also protecting his family love onto yw as if yw is no different like "it's s easy to leave and started over", they really need to talk and seoin should knows that yw is not the same as his family

so ML had more empathy for MC as a teen than he has now. he's actually treating him worse as an adult who had years to mature... didn't know people could regress in emotional intelligence, smh.
this flashback is nice but it really paints present-ML in a really bad light.
