More like greenwashing the fact that this is just one guy forcing their sexuality and attraction onto someone who isn't interested, but the victim just happened to be a conflict avoidant pushover who eventually gives in because of social expectations, instead of standing his ground and rejected the unwanted advances of someone who's not his type. If this was real life and the MC was a friend, I would have firmly advised him to refuse without feeling guilty and to cut off contact or to maintain distance until he was sure that the other guy had either lost interest or gotten therapy to help him understand that no means no and you can't impose your desires and expectations on an uninterested person and and cook up a parasocial sense of closeness and claim on them when they never agreed to it. Even if he felt like he got along well with the other guy because of the red thread plot, that doesn't mean that the sexually uninterested party should have been forced to convince himself into believing that he wanted a romantic relationship when he actually did not. They could have just been good friends once the other guy was able to respect his wishes, give up and direct his romantic desires onto someone else who was also interested. That would have been a healthy ending.

I get that the badger someone until they surrender trope was gone, the romance genre would be dead, and it's fine to leave your morals at the door when reading a porno and there are worse things to police that this. But then let's not romanticize this trope either, because, this is more insidious than the other problematic tropes of romance/porno genre which are socially denounced and illegal. Because you have been raised to know that those things are visibly wrong, deeply and immediately harmful, so you can identify it and even if you can't, a concerned third party might be able to protect you. But, milder ones like this behaviour may not feel as threatening because you always have a choice at all times.

But, they become silent dangers as a result of social conditioning and pressures when you think you can't refuse sexual advances from someone you're not interested in without ruining your current relationship with them or having to justify your choice to them and everyone else in your mutual social circle. Or delude yourself into thinking that you should give in and let your relationship turn sexual because you enjoy their company, feel an emotional bond with them and would hate to lose that friendship, just because media and culture tell you that you can't care for a social peer unless you're romantically interested in them.

I understand where you're coming from but I think you're reading too much into it. He said he wasn't interested then he almost(?) gave him a kiss when they were stuck in the cave, called him cute, made a move on him when he got drunk (which Hiro stopped before it got anywhere because he he knew he was drunk), etc. There were multiple instances that Kei did make the move. Hiro didn't force himself on Kei, he just told I can't help it I like you so much please just look at me once. They're part of the same friend group so they're bound to be in the same places at times so again Hiro didn't go chasing after him. So I think you're forgetting how the characters behaved and instead trying to isolate instances.
