Ok so yeah josei means “woman” which is targeted for… u guessed it- women. Unlike shojo which is targeted for “girls/young adults”. “It can share some similarities with shojo but commonly has themes that are more realistic and explicit”
I mean yea, but all josei are not necessarily smut, even tho they might have some adult content but def not as much as smut.
And this is under korean webtoons -the genres don't necessarily fall under josei but romance/villainess/r18-adult/horror/regression etc rather than shojo josei seinen,
Also the tags here only being: josei romance webtoon drama is overlooking the darker content and it should be atleast included in the tags as a tw--unless its included in other sites
But yea its for adult women tho still helps to have a mature tag, it's like a double TW xD
Josei is the demographic not the content. It can be josei and have no romance at all
Was surprised that this didn't have smut or mature tag even tho it looked like it, and then was expecting more thriller i was surprised again with the skinship and also, obv the murder and the blackmail. Idk if theres gonna be any smut but this definitely should have a mature/adult tag. (Also real talk why do we swoon over psycho killers especially the attractive ones? Funny to think that if they were ugly we'd be turning the other way disgusted)
