I mean I lowkey get it... dude is so powerful that on the slightest chance he could do something to harm the prince, literally no one would be able to stop him. Honestly it's something the guards SHOULD consider imo (to be considered good guards anyway). Though I dont agree, Ennid's just a lil guy

I mean, understandable, hes technically working rn as a guard. And this is a job and you can become close with coworkers but its still different from private life. Ive worked with some people for 3+ years but theres a limit to how much i can support them especially in a situation which can lead to me not being able to do my job (in this case protect the prince) or potentially harm someone
i think glunn trusts ennid (to an extent ofc, its a wip) but the guard kinda has no reason to. he met him like last week and all he knows is that he's OP in alchemy. so I think glunn kinda glazed past it like "yeah, damn ig he must be powerful as hell if he has you quaking in your boots like this", but the guard was like "hes not taking ts seriously enough for me, lemme ease my own mind by sending him to check for himself." and ditto to what shordy said above about if they ever need to take ennid out, now would be the time.
i think its bs ofc, doubly so because ennid literally fried his fingers 6 seconds ago to uno reverso the impossible spell, like what more do you want him to prove??? but yeah, i also think its been established that this guard isnt super reliable or good at his job all the time so maybe hes just projecting his fears of not being able to protect glunn from big threats onto ennid? mi nah know
