I think in a way it’s really because xinlu only really used or pretended to like tae for his luck, whereas, yes ilay was rough and aggressive to tae, but he was more honest with his actions… in a way
more honest to tae as in he was openly speaking, sharing his thoughts and his actions- not really having any other hidden intentions
i still lowkey dont understand why tae seems to be more forgiving to ilay than xinlu because to me the severity of their actions are honestly the same
