I've read a few spoilers for this novel. I'm not going to lie, the ending seems incomprehensible and rather ... special. I get the impression that the author simply didn't know how to conclude the story so poof.

From what I've been able to read. The only reason the actual story isn't specific to the novel is because ML decided to do things differently. I mean, yes, he dies in the original universe, but he remains a spirit in the modern world ( hes more of a ghost that float ig ? ) . He hears FL's voice proclaiming his love for him, realises he's just a fictional character and wakes up 4 years earlier in his world. That's why there are inconsistencies with the story and the real world. And that's also why he said FL voice was familiar.
Another spoiler: FL wants a divorce and decides to run away when ML doesn't want to. ML dies... And the world is reset so everyone is happy.
BTW. the princess is good, she's even competing against the ML for FL attention lmao. anyway I'm out, if there's some inconsistencies then I'm sorry ...
