Ok so basically, what I’ve gathered is that this story is less of a “character has x goal” and more a slow development of their relationship while also diving into their individual struggles, personalities, and backgrounds. On WEBTOON the author talks about lot about the small details they put into the art and body language to portray different emotions and stuff which is really cool.
The gang that tera is in seem like a mix between loan sharks and inquisitors or something, like they punish those they deemed to have broken their laws, but it also seems to be a lot about money, just with religious imagery and references. Tera obviously joined them out of necessity and after meeting the boy, is questioning his loyalty to them after noticing the harm it brought to the boy. Basically he is realizing that he wants to be better for the boy.
The boy (no clue if he has an actual name) clearly struggles a lot with the childhood trauma he got because of the actions of Tera’s gang, aka killing his parents, and I think he had a sibling too or something. Our twink lacks the caution and instincts everyone else has apparently, or maybe it’s just fate and his blind compassion for others, because instead of fearing the large sexy masked man with gang affiliations, he finds comfort in him (me too twink, me too.) and that comfort gives him the push he needs to overcome some of his fear and some of his trauma.
I also got lost in the sauce, but I feel like rather than there being no plot, it’s just very slow because the focus is more on the characters. If I had to guess, the overarching story is gonna revolve around Tera’s separation from the gang, and the boy’s sinking deeper into it, maybe finding out more about the death of his family. Obvs I haven’t read ahead or anything so take this with a grain of salt :)
Anyways, the things I would do to that beefcake amiright?
anyone else also reading this for the vibes (andthe amazing art ofc) and have no idea tf is going on
