I’m losing it.. hahaha I call my parents by their given names only when I’ve tried getting their attention numerous times and it’s not working. Hearing their kids say their given names usually shocks them into listening.
That's also a reason lolllll me going Mom, mommy, MOTHER, then calling her by her given name cuz she ain't paying attention at all xDDDDDD

i call my mom by her name or nickname, unless in public or around other ppl, out of affection (i'm asian so other ppl look shocked if i accidentally call her by her name in front of them).
she never really complained about that so ig she doesn't mind? tbf i learnt it from her since she calls grandma by a nickname sometimes. plus, it just sounds less... formal idk
