i think i just remembered doesn’t his skin turn darker when he’s like being taken over by whatever evil guy i think was the plot but idk but i think that’s what it was and i feel as if that’s racist bc why did the author feel the need to make someone who’s the bad guy or whatever have a darker complexion
his skin turns darker because his body is being taken over by another character (who happens to be a demon with dark skin and black hair) its not a racially motivated thing
yeah “happens to be” i think its weird no matter the circumstance bc that’s like denying the whole fucking worlds history of darker skin color being perceived as “evil” it’s unnecessary to me and could’ve easily been the opposite way but that my opinion and why i won’t be reading it
and present time issues not just history tho
