Back in China, a fanfic on AO3 was banned, and no action was taken against the author who wrote a fanfic, about two idols getting into an intimate relationship.
But the idols were prohibited from seeing each other or communicating and couldn't act in the same movie or do any other work together.
And let me remind you these two idols were both good friends who had nothing to do with that fanfic.So idols may not like or want fanfics written about them.
