I think it's meant to make us feel uncomfortable ? Because if it is, it's working.
Because it was meant to do exactly that: sexualize what the royalty perceive as a subservient subclass people -> homunculus personal knights
& paints it in a negative light so that we know & feel how wrong the royalty's treatment of the knights are -> we'll then sympathise more w/Eve & co's agenda

And honestly this manhwa does an excellent job in highlighting how the knights are sexually assaulted (aka how they HAVE to "serve") and how it's seen as "normal", it's creepy as fuck without being sexualised (so far)

The whole "blindfold and exposed bejeweled chest" thing bothers me. It's not like this is the worst case I've read of the genre: sexualised subservient subclass of people, but it still doesn't sit well with me. Even when MC and ML have a moment and he looks like that I cringe
