No bc we usually attract eachother. The amount of queer people I befriended w/o knowing they were queer is abt 90% of my social circle, why? Idk I like their vibes and oh surprise they're queer like me ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Also in BL/GL usually the couples are either exs of the main couple or friends they met *because* they're queer too
I agree, literally the reason why I read GL is because I want to see lesbians in love, why the heck would I want a straight couple in there??
If I wanted a straight couple, I'd just read straight shit.
And most of the people complaining about no straight couples in GL/BL are the same people who lose their marbles when there is (VERY RARELY, I might add) a gay/lesbian couple in straight stories anyway.
Also most straight couples in BL/GL are boring asf, like "The Glass" had I think 2 straight couples who were absolute snoozefests and even sidelined the main, lesbian couple.

Tbh i disliked this cus of home five, but other than that most series does this so well! You made me open up my mind and you're right... Straight romance does that and nobody has a problem. But I assume is ig ppl still have that internalised homophobia within them because "straight" is considered the norm and that gays are "rare" even though they aren't (literally 90% of every woman I know are not straight) and it seems "natural" more for them if the couples are straights.
I’ve actually seen a few people say it’s unrealistic and everything shouldn’t be gay in BL and GL as in not every couple should be gay which I kind of see what people are saying but straight manhwas do it all the time for example Seasons of Blossom there’s like six couples and not a single one of them is a little fruity they’re all straight so I don’t see the problem if BL or GL does the same not to mention a lot of people are not reading romance for it to be realistic and when I am reading bl or gl I don’t expect to see a straight couple i’m reading it because it’s gay I don’t mind if everyone’s gay
