its a possibility, the author never specifies that. later on in the novel (i think it was from extra stories) we learn that he did have a few girlfriends in the past but we dont know the details. jigu seems to be the only guy hes ever felt anything for, so hes either just bi with a strong preference for women or bi+demi.
