At that time Sunwoo didn't have anyone to go to and even Eungyo was avoiding him at home. They skipped a lot of those parts or probably changed them

This is correct. Novel reader here too. Basically the entire volume/s was Sunwoo feeling the anxiety and ML tryibg to make Sunwoo realise he likes him or whatever. Its a chaotic misunderstanding after misunderstanding
Oh gosh, I have never felt the need to not read the novel of a good manhwa so much as rn.. it sounds so anxiety inducing even to the readers..

Its still good! Manhwa is more light hearted and comedic tho. For this season the POV was mostly Eungyo's in the novel and you'll see just how desperate bro is
But yeah, in the novel Sunwoo is less empty headed but more, sad I guess? Like in the beginning he's more cautious and sad compared to the manhwa which makes everything more comedic
