the novel literally addresses that eungyo's pride was the reason lol. He basically couldn't put down his pride to acctually confess straight up and tell sunwoo what he wanted. Sunwoo literally only realises when Eungyo straight up tells him he wants to cohabitate and raise the child together. And im pretty sure seyoon convinced him to be straight forward too.
