Truthfully, it's definitely worth it. I read it in two days because i had work and unfortunately had to force myself to stop reading and sleep. Otherwise, i would have binged til the morning LOOOL! I've literally just finished it and it was one heck of a rid. Good consistent plot line, no unnecessary characters, and good amount of action, thriller and angst inducing scenes. Of course, you know BWAT can't have a story without something no being quite right "morally", but it's worth it. I'd say try it and if its not for you drop it BUT don't deny yourself a possibly great reading experience ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

You should read it but keep in mind the only bad thing is that this dude won’t stop calling him dad(not sexually idk why tf he keeps calling him that, it’s based on trauma I understood that much but comn the guy does NOT get traumatized he’s cold hearted cuz of his childhood, maybe that’s the trauma?? Idk- they’re not related but yeah)

yep, about that... i hope you don't take this in offense as i don't mean to impose my views haha
but honestly, the dad calling from pil-gyun's side makes sense to me. idk if im over-psychoanalysing but as a psychology student, i can kinda see this as part of his APD (antisocial personality disorder aka psychopathy, characterised by a lack of empathy) due to APD having a genetic basis that can be triggered by environmental "cues", a main one is physical and/or emotional trauma, which Pil-gyun experienced at the Wang guy's hands...
I think a genetic vulnerability to APD is hinted when Director Hwang is killed, as his last thought before he dies is "Heeran, you gave birth to a monster" so the whole "dad" calling could be a coping mechanism for his APD as we can see he struggles with his intrusive and borderline obsessive thoughts sometimes, but Nanmu is pretty much the only thing that keeps him 'sane'.
I hope you understand where I'm coming from, and if you feel like i'm overanalysing feel free to call me out on anything that's wrong!
I love this author but this story doesn’t really look good (based on comments and tiktok i saw) should i read it?? I mean, i would prefer avoid it if it’s toxic or whatever twt, pls lemme know if this is actually worth to read or no
