I agree abt the development part but it would make more sense if it was developing as a rival friendship or just a friendship bc in some scenes katsuki says "I'll become a hero who surpasses even you! Indicating rivalry - question but, would you love someone after being verbally, physically, mentally (I believe) bullied up until middle school and sometimes in high school? (Can't forget your lover telling you to "go take a swan dive off the roof" so loving, yeah?)

yeah izuku got bullied but he was always forgiving towards katsuki and katsuki has felt bad about it and ever since deku lost his quirk the only one by his side was katsuki lol everyone else was nowhere to be found he was the one contributing everything while everyone else was busy being heroes and once deku got the suit katsuki shot up in rankings being by his side his attitude was gone and all he wanted was to be with deku i have nothing against ochaka i think shes a nice character and her and toga had a great relationship even they had more chemistry than izuocha LOL

i think they meant the newest chapter in which bkg and dk are finally heroes together; 4th and 5th rising up the ranks
ima be honest imo its pretty obv that dk is kinda bkg's "world" in a sense in chapter 431 and 432 (idk if its called 432 but the newest lil side chap)
you have to remember that everyone takes trauma differently, in dk's case, apparently he didnt mind all that much about bkg bullying him - i think this is because of how much he admired him when they were kids
dk has never actually hated bkg, im pretty sure he just is almost disappointed (?) that his childhood friend turned out like this
throughout the seasons, we see bkg grow and develop into a character we can actually respect (which is what dk has been doing this entire time)
by the end of the series, bkg has grown into an outstanding character, nearing to one that we could idolise
horikoshi's decision to blatantly make and showcase bkg creating the whole idea of the suit - and mainly fund it - gives us a sense of everything coming to a close between their 'enmity' (i chose enemies in this case because they are still technically rivals, just in a more friendly and childhood-y promise way)
ngl this reply section is kinda a debate now so imo bringing up their past and backstory is a very good way of 'winning' it
