I really appreciate you saying all that. You get it. The way this story handles rape is just off like, not even in a "dark story with meaning" kind of way, just straight-up turning assault into something to fetishize. And yeah, when they throw in goofy art or random flirty lines right after the messed up scenes, it completely kills any chance of it being taken seriously. It doesn't feel psychological or something to just think about seriously, it feels like a fanfic made to make people horny.
I'm not even mad at dark content. I actually like messed up shit when it has something to say, when it explores pain or trauma in a real way. Killing Stalking did that well, in my opinion. It didn't glorify anything. It showed how messed up both characters were and made you feel disturbed, not turned on. Even the color scheme was dark and claustrophobic in a way that matched the tone. I haven't read it in a long time though, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But this shit right here just uses abuse for shock value and kink. It's rape porn with plot sprinkles basically.
Also, you made a real point about how some people will just absorb this kind of stuff without thinking. It's not even about being sensitive. I was just about seeing how easily people will defend this and even fantasize about being in the victim's place. That just honestly sad. People are so desensitized that when you call out how messed up it is, you're the one getting attacked. Like, sorry I don't find forced submission and blackmail sexy just because the art is clean??
And yeah, this isn't even the only story this author's done like this. I skimmed through Sadistic Beauty the same pattern is there, and it's a straight series. Super toxic relationships, humiliation, no real accountability, just nonstop power play disguised as romance. It's like they're obsessed with making abuse "hot."
Honestly... at this point, it feels like this author is projecting. Like, deadass, you can tell they see themselves in the abuser character. The way they write them—how powerful they are, how in control they stay, how everything revolves around them... it's got that self-insert energy. Like they're writing the abuser as their fantasy avatar, and it's creepy when you start noticing it. Especially with how the abuser is always drawn "pretty," soft-featured, almost feminine. It's giving "straight woman trying to live out her domination fantasy through a queered-up version of herself."
My original comment wasn't even trying to start some big moral war. I just said what a lot of people are probably thinking but won't say because they're scared of being ganged up on. Like, if you enjoy the story, fine. But let's not act like it's that deep or meaningful when it's literally glamorizing trauma for the sake of kink.
So yeah, thanks for actually being chill and understanding where I was coming from and you're not rambling. I'm glad someone else and the people agreeing with me in the replies see it as well. :)

i gotta agree with @trashfate here, i said basically the same things they did in their first comment, but in a softer tone so you, specifically, could understand better where we're coming from. and now your tone has changed since i butted in. i believe i was the first to reply "POP OFF" because sure, they didn't word it softly, but it's not a topic to be taken lightly or softly, and frankly i agreed with them. i saw it as them honestly being realistic, and you saw it as someone "morally pissing". and again, as someone who doesnt understand social cues sometimes, others might not either, and text can be most confusing in that. you said it was for the meme, i've never seen said streamer, but it's not great regardless if it's for the meme or not cause some people may take what you said as not a joke, even if you spelt it "keehl yoself". and when trashfate said "take your own advice" that didn't sit well with me either. the comments got heated on both sides when it didn't have to be.
i also understand people use humor to cope, so this might be cathartic for people, but it's not for a lot others like myself and this person. and especially if you were just trying to get a rise out of them, when they initially replied to your first comment, you didn't have to respond. but here we are.
i don't know you, but it really does seem like you just like edgy low effort humor, which to each their own, but like i said before, it's a waste of time to bring it to comment sections to get a rise out of people, especially when one is talking about the realistic consequences of someone consuming this media or anything similar. i don't know why you feel it's fine to joke about these things like rape or psychological torture, whether fictional or not, but no matter the reason jokes can still lead to real life harm. if you joke about it with friends, a friend could see that as an okay to rape someone, what would you do then?
sure it may be extremely rare for someone to be influenced by a comic like this, or any form of dark media, but it still happens and has happened
and you could have also had a real discussion with trashfate if you didn't leave that first comment, if you didnt feel the need to bait and try and get a rise out of them. you could have tried to understand where they were coming from, why they reacted the way they did. you instead just wanted to start stuff, now devolved into this. is it really just that? is it cause you wanted to feel superior like they said? is there something else or deeper going on here? who knows. i get it's a silly pirate website mostly full of yaoi, fucked up stuff, the whole shabang, but considering we're all adults here, it's a practice to talk to each other like adults. i hope we can all reflect, i myself will reflect on trying not to butt into online arguements (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

I find it hard for believe you're lesbian due to your other comments to me, but whatever, I'm not trying to go back and forth with you. Go ahead, tell me to jump! Idgaf! You act like responding with brief repiles will bother me, it doesn't but you do you. I wouldn't have came at you the way I did if you've disagreed, but actually had a conversation with me like someone with social skills. Since you wanna be a bitch to me, how about you suck my dick. I'm now done responding to you. Say whatever you want.

You're right, I responded to them like that because they were rude in their very first reply to me. If they disagreed and actually explain why that is or something then I would've communicated with way more respect. By "take your own advice," I meant they should do what they're telling me to do because they've told me to kill myself and are continuing to do so, but not stooping to someone else's level is something I'm trying to work on. Thank you for trying to help resolve this. Right now, I'm trying to end this arguement, so hopefully they don't respond to me again.
Even if they do, I'll just ignore though. Have a good day!

here ya go bein rude again. i think i'll stop responding after this too. in your response w the slur ya coulda clarified youre lesbian, cause really how can any of us be sure who the other is when it's an anonymous pirating site.
it's just gettin draining to talk to you now jax. you seemed understanding only with me, probably cause i was calling you both out in a manner that was trying not to be attacking, but with trashfate you just made more rude and condescending remarks like to jump, which i just dont care to entertain anymore cause i feel my words have gotten no where with you, but what was i really expecting with someone who just wanted to get a rise out of another over their statement on a comic that quite literally glorifies rape, toxic power imbalance and the like. i'm sure if the antag were unattractive, there'd be less people supporting it. it really is just a pretty art style with a shit story, and i agree with trashfate, killing stalking did it in a way that fit the art style, atmosphere, and disturbed one on all sides.
hope yall have a good day too ✧*。٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧*。

I’m sorry dude. But I do think it’s okay to make jokes about rapists in yaoi being abused. I appreciate the effort you made, though. Sorry everyone can’t be as morally beautiful as you want them to be. I saw someone making fringe generalizations on mangago, I made some back, and then her entire worldview imploded, leading to multiple paragraphs crashing out over yaoi that would make an English teacher proud. It really can’t be more simple than that. And since we’re psychoanalyzing each other, I think you learned some therapy language on tumblr and now think you’re omniscient. Hope you have a good day, too.
This isn't about being sensitive to dark or edgy content. I'm fine with flawed characters, violence, trauma, and complicated dynamics. That's not the issue. The issue is that this story is blatantly turning rape and abuse into a fetish. It's not critiquing it. It's not exploring it. It's glorifying it. And that's the part that makes me sick.
From the very start, the victim is completely stripped of agency. He's being violated, mentally broken down, and manipulated, and the story doesn't treat that with any seriousness. It plays it off with flirty dialogue, smirking expressions, and humor that's clearly meant to turn people on, not make them think with their brains. There's no genuine horror, no moment to breathe, no acknowledgment that what's happening is deeply violating. It's just setup for more abuse, more control, more humiliation, and we're supposed to watch and enjoy it.
And then you go to the comments and it's just people drooling over the abuser. People calling it hot. People saying they wish it was them. People treating this like a fantasy instead of recognizing that this is exactly how real abuse plays out in the world. Consent is completely missing, but no one cares because they're too busy romanticizing control and suffering.
And yeah, I already know the argument. "The victim isn't innocent. He did bad things too. This is revenge." Cool. Even if that's true, that doesn't suddenly make rape okay. That doesn't make drugging, kidnapping, and psychologically torturing someone justified. That's not a redemption arc. That's just more abuse. You can't throw in some vague backstory and expect it to erase the fact that someone is getting off on destroying another person.
The power imbalance is very real. The victim isn't being challenged or punished. He's being broken. And there's a difference. This story doesn't care about emotional impact or consequences. It's not trying to explore trauma. It's just using it to get a reaction out of readers who are into domination and forced submission, and disguising it as plot.
I haven't even finished the story and I already feel disgusted. Not just by the writing, but by the way people eat it up without question. Stories like this aren't deep. They're not psychological thrillers. They're abuse wrapped up in a pretty art style and sold as entertainment.
So no, this isn't "sexy." It's not bold. It's not misunderstood. It's rape and manipulation being dressed up as a kink fantasy, and the way people are defending it is honestly just depressing... but I'm not surprised either.
