I noticed I dislike the ones where the MC is just a victim. He doesn’t scheme, plot, or do anything apart from being carried wherever the wind blows. Worse yet, he's a certified angel of a character. So it feels like watching a puppy get kicked—unpleasant. Like that poor boy the idiot has a crush on.
But when everyone is using everyone, it becomes fun to read.
