so I've read this a long time ago and forgets some bits so correct me but I'm really dumb if i forget that Sangwoo didn't intentionally killed his mother???? and I don't think the sex part he sees his mom in Bum, he's a psycho but not to that point though.???
Girl, you need to reread again, didn't he literally moaned "mom" While he's in deep balls to Yoonbum? And also that part where sangwoo didn't intentionally killed his mother, might I remind u that sangwoo's memories can't be trusted seeing as one time, he's shown his father that he's a fat pig who abused his mom then another memory shown his father is a decent man and actually cares about them both, so his memories aren't to be trusted and secondly, he probably did killed his mom during his psychotic episode, I mean who would put their mom inside the walls, and helped sit the corpse like someone played the dead body before leaving up there?
um okay i remember all that but my take on him putting his mom on a wall, well he can't go to the police and tell them what happened right soooo.. i know he's still crazy for doing that, i think the reason he can't get rid of her body bec of the guilt or attachment.
and his memories with his father because his father wasn't always abusive at first.
anyways i always believed and will stay true when i say Sangwoo didn't killed his parents. he wasn't responsible for their death (if i remember correctly)
sangwoo is gonna be blamed if he took his mom's corpse to the police obviously the person who was last seen with the victim will be interogated and they will be highly suspicious. You think sangwoo didn't kill his parents? Then how did sangwoo remember his dad's corpse that he buried in the mountain? If he didn't kill his father? Why did bum and sangwoo went to the mountain? To have a camping trip? I think he strangled his mom, then slice her neck when she passed out,
He was sertainly deranged, I agree that he didnt kill his mom on purpose, but he lost it the moment his mom tried to rape him, after he killed her he kept her "safe" in the wall cuz he already became a psycho, he loved her still, so he sees her in bum sometimes cuz sex/love/mom are all part of the same trauma.

Sorry if this comment is old and I’m responding to it now. But I kinda wanna put some of my interpretation of sangwoo and his mum. Like in his flashback when sangwoos mum raped him, she said to him “Do you know how to kill someone without actually killing them?” Basically saying the old sangwoo is dead. And on that day she basically created a monster.
I also agree with sangwoos memory, and it can’t be trusted. Sangwoos mum definitely abused and manipulated him. Probably more after his fathers death. She manipulated him into think he’s a bad father/husband, and that sangwoo now was his better replacement.
I do have a theory that sangwoos father was cheating on his mother, that’s why she went insane. And why she got angry when sangwoo received a love letter. As well as after the fathers passing, she treated sangwoo as her husband, probably trying to replicate how life was before.
Another thing that supports my theory is that sangwoo only went for women. I think after sangwoo got raped and manipulated he genuinely couldn’t separate his identity from his fathers. He never said these women were like his mother, but possibly he killed those women to put his mums anger at ease. But I think that’s why I began to tweak so much towards the end because he knew history was repeating itself.
But sangwoo character is so complex, I love this manhwa so much
It's still the best read. The horror, the intense, the sense of dread, it's perfectly executed and well thought out. The visuals are amazing. Sangwoo isn't some mindless killing machine, and Bum's loneliness led him clinging the only thing that he thinks it's hope (which was not, it's actually the one that kills him) . At the beginning of the chapter, Sangwoo intended to kill Bum but hesitated because the way Bum begged for his life reminded him of someone familiar, which we all know is his mom, that helps us catch the glimpse what had happened in the past, with how Sangwoo tried to kill his mother. Bum's expression and frail body begging for his life to be spared reminded him of mother who also tried to begged to spare her life by sangwoo almost tried killing her so he instead of killing him, he took him, made him wear his deceased mom's clothes, making him stuck in the past, I think sangwoo never saw Bum as Bum but rather, his mom. He gets angry, have sex, happy and sad, all mom, never was for Bum.
