the instructor wasn't missing, his family got worried because he disappeared for a while in an important time. as far as i understand, he was possessed by the sacred serpant a long time ago and i think the mother is the only one who can see it. so he's an imposter but not by will(?) the plot seems to be a bit confusing so we'll have to wait a while longer to figure things out..
Hummm the mother said her son has been dead, so is he an imposter or did he go missing and came back suddenly his family surely does not have a clue about his other duties...
Also theres being naive i get it he is new to this but the professor telling him he will look for his brother, your husband is THE king...if the professor had your best interest, he would not put you in a postion to burn or hide anything from your spouse
