story progression

i’m rlly interested in seeing how this will progress in terms of the mc and ml’s relationship bc ngl these type of stories always make me feel weird like it rubs me the wrong way bc it’s like the ml loved the other guy before mc, there’s like no progression between the mc and ml rn bc of that like idk how to put it into words but… anyways i rly love the mc but like poor guy he literally got kidnapped bro
