That's exactly what the ml is trying to do but as you can see it's not working since our mc is anxious about him eventually finding his named partner.

It might be an unpopular opinion but I'd hide the fact that I know about the name. I'd like my partner to fall for me as 'me' my own qualities and flaws rather than the fact that my name is tattooed on their body.
I'd court them and try to win them over
Granted ML is not doing the best job (its BL when do they ever) lol but that's just my own two cents
