ig the problem is more that even in season 1 MC just didn't seem like the type that would get that jealous, especially not just over suspicions. he's the pragmatic guy whose mind is mostly on school or on rent. so far i feel like he's always tackled every issue in a level headed almost uncaring way... like he literally told jh to just do it when he had a knife to the throat. so losing sleep over some girl who barely interacted with jh is a bit... uncharacteristic ? idk... even if i agree that he could have never just moved on with how much trauma from their relationship still needs to be adressed

The MC was groomed, socially isolated, gaslighted, abused, manipulated, & told all of that was love. It’s understandable that all of these confused feelings and desires would resurface b/c he hasn’t healed from anything. He just ran from it and hoped it would go away. He assumed distance meant closure. Now all of those things are back in his face and, even tho he talks about ML not changing, he also hasn’t changed in significant enough ways for him to be mentally/emotionally prepared for being around ML. The sick part is that they really do love each other, but it’s so twisted I’m pretty sure that doesn’t mean anything anymore. They can’t possible be healthy together b/c this is a trauma bond.
