By that logic, we should’ve banned video games, horror movies, and every dark, unhinged book ever written ages ago. Fiction mirrors possible scenarios, sure... but that doesn’t mean it’s some kind of twisted life guide. People have been writing about murder, war, incest, and problematic tropes since forever, and newsflash: the world didn’t implode.

Just because something can happen in real life doesn’t mean reading about it makes it happen, or that it’s an endorsement. That’s literally the whole point of fiction, sweetheart. It’s a sandbox where people can explore whatever without real-world consequences. If you can’t separate fiction from reality, that’s a you problem. Don’t project your inability to cope onto everyone else. Stay mad.
