- Abel didn't practically raise Karas. Abel was with Karas for only a month.
- Abel never treated Karas as his child or younger brother, he treated him as the prince and the future Emperor.
- Abel knew his role as the Regas from the get go.
- Abel and the others never treat the 19 year old Karas as a child. If you are thinking about the whole "romantic feelings", it's because the commanders knew that Karas is naive when it comes to this thing, so they felt the need to guide him. But they don't treat him as a child. Not way back when Karas lost his eyes, not when he was triumphant over wars as a seventeen-year old, and certainly not in the present.
- Abel started developing feelings for Karas when he was still the "captain commander" in his eyes.

I'm just stating my opinion. It seems *to me* that everyone is treating karas like a child. It seemed *to me* like Abel taught Karas a lot during the time they were together (raising him somewhat). I acknowledged that they were only together a short while but that short time really impacted Karas. I'm just saying the relationship is weird *to me*. I know Abel didn't know who "captain commander" was when he started developing feelings, but that's not going to make me feel like the relationship isn't a bit icky lol. I'm not judging anyone if they like it, I was just sharing my thoughts.

Not sure why you are responding to this with aggression. Nowhere did I judge you folks who enjoy seeing them together. I wasn't even hating on the story or the ship. I just said the relationship was icky to me.
I mean, I get it if you think Abel *treats* (I'm using this word very loosely here) Karas as someone he should shield from the pain of the world but I don't get the whole *everyone* is treating Karas as a child. The commanders never treated him as one, not in this manhwa, and certainly never in the novel.

I gotta be honest... I'm not a fan of Abel and Karas being together romantically. It feels very icky to me since Abel knew Karas back when he was practically a baby. I know its been 11 years since then, and it's not like Abel watched Karas grow up, but for Abel it still hasn't been super long at all since he practically raised Karas. It's just a bit weird to me since Abel (and a lot of the people around him tbh) seems to think of/treat Karas as a child (which isn't too far off since Karas is only 19). I feel like the story would be much better off if their relationship was familial/platonic. I am a fan of the actual plot, though. It's very interesting.
