Honestly, thank you. It’s wild how people jump into fiction they know is gonna have problematic stuff, then act brand new and holier-than-thou when it shows up. Like… we all knew what this was when we clicked. It’s fiction. Nobody’s endorsing it in real life, and if some of us wanna enjoy the mess, let us. Not everything needs to be catered to fit someone’s moral compass. If you don’t like it, close the tab and move along.
I enjoy killing in shooting games and non-con from time to time and you don't see me shooting up schools or out raping people. The fact something can happen in real life doesn't mean consuming it in fiction makes it happen or endorses it.

Bro, it’s messed-up fiction meant to entertain messed-up fantasy whether you like it or not. Fiction has always been a sandbox for taboo, dark, and uncomfortable scenarios. People have written worse for centuries. If you’re so concerned, you wouldn’t be voluntarily sitting in the comment section of something you clearly find morally repulsive. If it’s "concerning" to you, maybe stop doom-scrolling through smut forums and calling it research. And yes, if you’re engaging with the content, regardless of your self-proclaimed "different mentality," you’re still part of the audience. Lurking out of preformative outrage is still participating. Spare us the moral TED Talk.

Being aware of what you’re going to read is still different from enjoying that the certain scene is happening! We are on an illegal website, the reading isn’t support the author.
Actually? People do. There’s a reason why there’s variation of criticism and non-criticism. Are you telling me everyone that watches a horror movie with murder and shock factors supports killing because they merely watched it? That is insane logic.
I do NOT enjoy rape. It is not a claim, but a fact that you shouldn’t try to change to fit your agenda.

I’m aware of this too. I only commented because I thought OP had the same feelings toward reality as well, but clearly not as they mentioned otherwise. And I do separate fiction and reality, and I have my own dark fantasies that involve rape which will scare some but it’s not like I CHOSE that.
Also, shocking but people can still read something that they criticise certain scenes of.
I do hope everyone got their morals straight in reality. Sure as hell hope you don’t want anyone with rape fantasies (ones that want to do in real life, not just fiction) near you.

It is a fact that not all enjoys something just because they sit in the same room, watching the same movie.
I thought this was common sense. Reading something disturbing doesn’t automate: enjoy it. You can critically engage with dark material — just like people do with war films, true crime, or dark lit to understand it, and condemn it.
Intentions is also important for YOU to learn. Someone reading to analyze or crit is doing something much different than someone reading for pleasure or excited for rape to happen. That’s what others got from OP’s title of post, and responded that way.
Had OP mentioned that they don’t react the same in reality versus fiction, I guarantee the responders wouldn’t have been as surprised.
Critique does NOT EQUAL moral superiority, you created a false dichotomy as if people can only read such content for pleasure or stay away entirely.
Engagement, especially on an illegal site that doesn’t support author, doesn't always mean endorsement

“It’s just fiction”; is a common defence, and it’s half true: fiction does allow people to explore dark, taboo, or harmful ideas without real-world consequences. Keyword: without consequences.
BUTT fiction still exists in a social context — it reflects and can influence how people think, feel, and empathize. So, dismissing all critique with “it’s just fiction” or how it’s just moral superiority can ignore that stories do affect people DIFFERENTLY, especially survivors of trauma.
I also don’t like too much of the morally people, but those are the ones that shame on just about any level of dark/taboo stories. Mocking some who are uncomfortable with certain content or trying to discuss it critically is just the other extreme.
Saying “just don’t read it” doesn’t consider the fact that people may come across it unintentionally and wouldn’t really know in first place, or not considering that being disturbed by fictional content is a NATURAL human response.
You can enjoy problematic fiction IN FICTION and respect others’ concerns about it. Don’t mock!

were all reading the same shit weve said that already like obviuosly ur not special for reading taboo, heavy stuff but yall are thrilled being all gitty for the brutal rape scenes to happen ,this shit was not directed at u but at the person who happily anticipating the gang rape like its a romantic scene in a shoujo story but seeing how uve jumped to their defance ig ur the same as them ,im still reading this story giving i read some spoilers and i want to see how this will unfold up ,and litrally skipped the brutall rape scenes cus theyre too much i felt phisically ill but anyways that's me...like litrally whats the diffrence between u and those incels who enjoy rape and deranged stories ...and ppl gave u examples SO STOP PLAYING DENSE ...

No, I think mangago is exactly the place for that this site is basically the concentration of all the sin in the world. But to be honest, I don't really believe in the idea of "reading something fucked up but in an intellectual way that's diametrically opposed to the way all those evil fujos are reading it". People are so preoccupied with not seeming problematic that they need there to be some morally beautiful reason for reading this story. But I know that it's not for analytical reasons. Because if it were, then they would be reading literally anything else that doesn't make rape inherently pornographic. I think it can be a combination of shock-value seeking and self harm for some people, which is really sad, but it still doesn't make them less perverse.

You can skip scenes, read spoilers, write a moral essay, and light a prayer candle, it won't matter. You're still here reading the same shit as everyone else. The difference is, some of us don't pretend we're better than the room while choosing to sit in it. You’re not a martyr for hate-consuming fiction. Either log off or stop acting like you’ve got the moral high ground. Nobody’s buying it.
And the difference is, I know it’s fiction. I’m not out here pretending my personal taste in made-up stories defines my morals in real life, and I’m definitely not projecting my discomfort onto strangers to feel superior. You’re reading the same shit, you just slapped a fake halo on your head to cope with it. You should stop playing dense, you’re not special for hate-reading.

I mean, in specific parts of Mangago yes, but there will be ‘moral police’ around so prepare.
And oh no I get that. That’s why I believe in the: reality affects fiction, not really the other way around. No offence but those craving dark stuff tends to have more mental health issues than those who don’t (including me, I have an urge to see dark stuff and just shock myself even though I know my heart can’t handle it + mentality.
I do this to myself on an almost daily basis .
I feel like my eyes are about to be blessed in the next chapters
