I also need to add that, at one point in the novel, uke looks at himself in the mirror after not seeing himself for months and sees that he’s gotten skinnier, covered head to toe in bruises and lacerations to the point his skin was just numb to the pain. He lost so much self respect that he went around the house wearing absolutely nothing but his dog collar and didn’t care about his appearance at all until he could feel how uncomfortable the seme was with him being like that, only then did he feel embarrassed.

I really hope they just tone down everything like they usually do for manhwa adaptations, but here’s my take of the novel.
Just finished reading the novel. I wanted to cry… but I was so disgusted that i couldn’t. And tbh… seme’s “tragic” backstory didn’t move me at all, what Uke received is just heartbreaking compared to what he had done to the seme, I’m surprised he actually didn’t just kill himself. And the worst part, is that the most important part of the seme’s revenge wasn’t even done with his own two hands, he just orchestrated everything like he’s such a saint.
Things done to uke: (mind you all this happened in the span of a couple months)
- gang raped, 2 times. The second time he was actually on the brink of death and hospitalized
- treated like a dog for months to the point of malnourishment, he had to even pee and shit on a mat
- forced to fuck his unconscious friend bc he made the seme angry
- constantly raped and beaten into submission with no remorse from the seme AT ALL (seme expresses half assed pity throughout the entire story, only for his own tragedy to be lowkey just severe school bullying, he really had me thinking uke was the devil or something)
- he had his personality utterly deteriorated and resorts to being a cock slut for the seme (even develops Stockholm syndrome atp in the story)
In their childhood, uke actually liked the seme, and the seme liked him back, but uke was also disgusted by the fact he was a homo, so he hides it under the pretext of finding the seme disgusting, raping him and spreading his pictures around, to his mother, who was already mentally il, this incident just worsened it to the point she was hospitalizedl. While yes this is also really bad and irredeemable, what he received in returned was just so much worse, that this looks like plain old school bullying. Uke never actually brought him to the brink of death.
The author said countless times throughout the story that the seme is softhearted, but oh man is that seme just so ruthless, nothing could’ve made me feel sorry for him.
Well in the end, they both fucked their brains up, uke clings onto seme and is afraid to be abandoned by him. And the seme can continue to do whatever it is he intends to do with him bc that’s where they end the main story.
