haha I get what you're saying about censorship, but I think you kinda missed what I meant. I wasn’t talking about them doing anything explicit or steamy. What I meant is that JY and ZX haven’t really been developed as a couple - like, beyond the comic relief or subtle moments we keep getting.
Meanwhile with TianMo, even without a full-on confession, it’s obvious they’re a thing now. They've kissed, slept together (and who's who was clearly implied), He Tian’s super touchy with him, and now they’re gonna live together. That’s real couple energy that the commenters here like me are talking about. JY and ZX haven’t gotten there yet, it still feels like their story is holding back. Maybe because of fan divide or because the author/editor hasn’t decided how to fully shape their dynamic yet or maybe go with the flow with the fan divide before shaping who is who in their relationship, or maybe keeping the readers guessing to keep the hype going.
This is what I meant and has nothing to do with Chinese censorship or us wanting to see any humping. Even with Chinese censorship most manhuas will shop who’s the top or bot.
I agree with having more intensity with He Tian and Little Mo characters and there's more spice there in that couple, I believe because Mo had the most character development out of them. He was aggressive and not friendly with his classmates and didn't listen to them and broke the rules like playing cards in class, careless and whatnot. I believe this all stemmed from his past where we have been shown some chapters about when kids made fun of him and accused him of being a criminal because of his father being in jail and hinted us that he wasn't able to make friends nor anyone wanted to talk to him which I guess stayed out like this till middle school until he met those characters we love, and He Tian changed Mo's attitude, he was a very essential part in changing him, he started to greet his classmates in the morning and talk to them and try to have a conversation, past Mo wouldn't do that at all!
So reaching this point and having all this development took time, so to me, even though I love them all of course, but I lean more towards He Tian and little Mo's daily slice of life as there's more spice there and see that development is just so exciting. But I don't think they slept together yet lol, you mentioned they did, they shared one proper kiss. (I'm not counting the forced ones) but they haven't slept together yet lol.
I feel like the reason the author hasn’t developed JY x ZX’s relationship further is probably bec either they still haven’t decided who would be the top/bot between them, or maybe the fandom is too divided on it, and the author/editor wants to keep everyone guessing to keep readers hooked. It’s still a business, after all so whilst they’re not exactly milking it or maybe they are, idk for sure, they definitely know how to keep the hype going.
As for Tian x Mo, it’s always been pretty clear that He Tian been the dominant one. Mo has a history of being pushed around and controlled (iirc She Li was that guy?) Their backstories and personalities are intense, so all the spicy scenes mixed with He Tian’s possessiveness and his care for Mo really keep people invested in their dynamic.
