Tbf it's pretty understandable that he would prioritize his sister, whom he was shown to love very very dearly, rather than the girl who's head over heels for him but he doesn't know all that well. He's hiding things from Lisa that could change her feelings for him in the blink of an eye, but Anne-Marie is family.

It kinda left a bad feeling in my mouth how Heathcliff wantedly gave Lisa a bracelet to attract demon to her to distract it from his sister and when the demon actually came he saved only his sister and the fl to her death. Like he didn't even care to worry about her
