I agree, I think the author really want to portray that Taehun and Gwanyeong is really fated even without the pair. But that doesn't make sense too. Why even have pairing system then, if Author just want to prove that his main characters are meant for each other??

If this is what the author wants, maybe he should made this an Omegaverse where Taehun is Beta and Gwanyeong an Extremely Dominant Alpha. That that plot will make sense there.
