I think author put effort for unfiltered ero-gore survival genre. She kept the vibe somehow calm but i just realize how hard this can be to read. But i respect her for going all in...good ol' mature manga vibe back in the 00s im not surprised if the ending is bittersweet when the main characters pay a heavy price for what they yearn for
