It pisses me off so much because Ranko doing this is literally no better than his previous "sisters" who jumped him sexually. Like i don't even understand what the mangaka wants with this story anymore. I thought Ranko was subconsciously in love with him just used the excuse of siblings and taking care of him. But then she ends up dating Nasu??? And says she's in love with him??? Like what is going on
ong she's no different, she's literally enabling his behavior and somewhat taking advantage of Kaya too. At this point it doesn't even seem that Ranko even likes (platonically/romantically) Kaya and is just sort of using him to feel good, if you catch my drift. Like she wants to act like bob the builder and "fix" him but also press onto his trauma and enjoy the result of whats basically Kaya being hella fucking groomed
I feel bad for Kaya he's getting so much mixed signals. TT Also what i think is even worse that Ranko is not fully aware? idk how to say she's not doing all this fully intentionally. She's just dumb asf lol
Why are yall acting as if Ranko is not in highschool and a fully fledged teenager who is older than Kaya?? It pisses me off how everyone excuses Ranko as if she herself isn’t also indirectly playing into it. She’s kissed Kaya more than Nasu, her fucking boyfriend, and aside from going “noo haha dont do this” she doesn’t even fight him, nor scold him. She doesn’t even get mad at him. When Ranko’s mom interrupted them, she was quite literally almost about to sleep with him. And she KNOWS Kaya’s trauma. She KNOWS why he acts the way he does and WHY he is obsessed with her. Other people have told her and she recognizes it. But she’s just such a fucking NPC that her reaction is leaning into everything that her dumbass has already been told that doing that shit is bad.
Also, I don’t get the rooting for Nasu. He’s also such an NPC and nothing burger of a character, y’al got seriously bland tastes holy. I’m only rooting for my absolute goat Hoshi, who is the only character that isn’t insanely fucking stupid. I’m lowkey gonna be mad if Ranko ends up with Nasu because then 97% is just bait and edging the reader, and by god is that just annoying.
