i dont think it matters that much tbh. if i find a rec from someone i rly liked ill go back to thank them. but yeah sometimes ppl dont reply back :(
it's mostly not to bother other people who also commented, so if you want a full conversation just dm them or you can cut it short<3
i dont rly mind but sometimes people reply and they're like "okay" "ok thanks" like damn... not even an exclamation mark do u want me to kms </3 (I'm an overthinker)

do you guys care if people reply when you share recommendations? i ask for recommendations on here sometimes and i go and read it and forget to say if i liked it
and sometimes i do reply i liked it but they dont reply back (i dont mind!)
