I love this story

First, good on everyone to realize Andrim is pure evil. I think ppl forgot that Andrim is a force of evil - he forced a woman to marry him, embezzled funds and blackmailed the king, was part of human trafficking, and helped spread a highly addictive drug to nobles. And I'm sure he has more crimes, as he is not above harming even children. For now he's been playing a "noble" role and manipulating the truth - he's made it so that the heroes of the story turn on the heroine by realizing that they were unprepared to handle the consequences of their actions. Literally their plans hinged on Andrim having an outburst, and they were unprepared for counter-attacks (such as Andrim quiting or erasing evidence).

Second, this goes deeper than just Andrim being evil. This story is another angle on the idea of a reborn in an otome game storyline (usually the villainess is not actually evil or the reborn person changes the character). Of course the reborn person does want to survive, but they don't change who Andrim is, and lean into Andrim's evil while using the dumb tropes of otomes against the heroes. Because although Andrim is evil, there is a reason why he can manipulate the storyline pretty easily - the heroine is usually a Mary Sue and the world bends to make her look better and receive all the unconditional love. The original female lead is the worst when you actually think about it. FL literally stole someone's man, but it's only excused bc Juliette and her father are evil - but in another story the FL would be the villain trying to steal someone's man! Which is funny when she mentions Julliette trying to steal someone's man, because who did that as well, hhhhhmmmmm???? And then FL sees everything as revolving around herself, like her sister is in a coma and she's not even outwardly sad???? She expected the guys around her to also bend to her will constantly, especially as by otome rules, they originally doted on her and she got to do as she pleased. However, now shit is more serious and FL refuses to take things seriously, such as her classes. Part of this does fall on the Love Interests who spoiled her without regard to the fact that she would either become queen or at least a noble lady.

Also, nothing about the evil actions of Andrim or Malaki are exposed UNTIL the FL is in danger. Like the supposed heroes would have ignored Andrim and Malaki being shady without the FL???? To be fair, the evidence is hard to get and the FL is the catalyst for them gaining some of it, but it's funny to think that in another world they wouldn't have cared for the Sacrificial Maiden enough to put everything on the line with flimsy evidence. They only had the drug at the start and hoped Andrim became angry, which is a flimsy attempt at best.

I guess I find it interesting to think about how the only thing that makes the FL better is Andrim/Juliette/Malaki being evil. Otherwise she is a spoiled and bratty character who is only different bc of her background.

Which brings into question how prepared the heroes were to deal with the aftermath of the original timeline, because although Andrim lied to some extent, there is truth in there. The king was embezzling funds to support his heir, what happens when they figure that out and they try to work around either the Prince losing support or fixing the Temple, because either option could hurt them. It's just fun to think about.

about Wickham's cheating, there's a really funny thing in the novel that idk if it'll make it to the manga
but later on theres a scene where Nasha throws a tantrum and then says something like "Wickham would never be unfaithful"
at which everyone just looks at each other like "well you're here because he was unfaithful so um..."

Nasha's lack of self awareness is a national treasure of this barely passable story truly
