I’m not excusing the character, because I also agree that she’s lowk a klutz. First of all, I agree w you on the first point you brought out. In all honesty I didn’t even think abt the fact that if she did divorce, the crown prince might find the chance to jail her! But then again it made me think, maybe if he ends up falling for her, as in her goal to divorce the ml, maybe she’d be fine since he wouldn’t want to lock up the girl he digs. Second of all, in the first few chapters she did mention that the actual woman was far more evil than she could be, hence is why she decided to turn a leaf and become the complete opposite aka become kind—then he she did it to woo the prince. As to why she thought that would make him divorce her, I feel like she thought if it became like his last straw, then he wouldn’t have let it go. But now we can see black magic would’ve been the best choice if he didn’t need her for his plans, which is why he kept her I would think.
