I think it was unconditional love in the 1st life too, but the kids were treating her poorly n she had multiple fake lovers so her family wont marry her again so for the general eyes, they focused on her scandals more than her devotion to the kids..
In the 2nd life, the kids r more kind n attach to her, n she’s just focusing on them, so it seems weird to others
It's interesting that Shuri can give the children unconditional love in this life because she regretted it in her past life. It quite simply wasn't possible until she lived again. So the other nobles being suspicious does make sense. Unconditional love wasn't real until this life. I'm thinking it'll be the determining factor in stopping the holy war
