This could've ended at a nice place chapters ago. Author's defo trynna squeeze this series dry by pulling some nonexistent drama.
Wtf are you talking about? I know this arc hasn't even been one of the best in their relationship and tbh, it pisses me off too. But reducing Sato to just a "despicable" character is almost reducing the entire manga into just roles, and ofc most of the time they are in that kind of troup bc I remind you this is a COMEDY manga, and I don't know where you get that it's forced, like for several chapters we look at the perspective of how Sato sees things and thinks, I'm not trying to defend him entirely but we're not even finishing seeing the whole picture for you to say that Sato will not have a character development, of course until then there had only been slight problems but it's also important that the author wants to focus more on going deeper into the plot of the characters and above all how Sato handles the situation. They are high school students, they will make mistakes or make bad decisions but that is what makes them human, seeing how this situation will be resolved contributes more to this
I wonder what’s going on the authors mind that she’s been able to write such a despicable character like Satou for over 10 years and not get tired of it. The „I don’t think I’m enough so I’m leaving“ troupe is very common, BUT FREAKIN 14 VOLUMES IN?? The drama is SO forced and it’s probably gonna end with Satou having little to no character development anyways. He’s probably gonna go back to bullying Yoshida right away after he forgives him easily
