yeaaah unfortunately defending / retaliating for someone else doesn't fall into self-defense
It does, self defense can also be to protect someone else from danger, the problem in this situation is how Korean court applies the self defense law, as some koreans say that it only exists in name and judges never apply it.
This would probably happen in most places, not the settlement part, the MC having problems for kicking the guy
