Not you saying you can’t read between the lines when you just summed it up perfectly.
That scene with the guy stealing meds for his kid? Guwon knew it wasn’t simple. He cried while doing it — not because he’s heartless, but because he’s convinced that sticking to his rules is the only way to protect what he built. He doesn’t see any other option, even when it clearly tears him up.
It’s not that he enjoys it — he just doesn’t question the system he’s enforcing. That’s the real problem.
And with Teach around? It’s only a matter of time before something breaks — either the system, or him.
Now im not one to stay when a character turns out to be a red flag….but guwon made a yellow flag(?) decision…and I just like his character so much that im turning a blind eye to it. I ALSO THINK that he doesn’t understand that he can just not do this, I think someone or just based off the things he knows he believes “if someone does wrong, they must be punished” type of thing..and that majority vote decides it fully cuz of democracy or something idk. He literally felt guilty and was in tears when he killed the guy cuz he knows it’s wrong/not right to kill someone, but I guys he does it for the sake of his town and what he thinks is the right way to handle it. CAUSE he doesn’t feel guilty when killing the zombies…that’s all I can say because I really don’t know how to read between the lines..my media literacy is not very good. Hopefully he has a turning point in his character development.. 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。
